Not a course.
Not coaching.
Not another framework.
This is a practice. And I facilitate it.
The upstream practice that helps everything else finally land.
I'm Brendan Mullan. I help people who are struggling to enjoy their life stop outsourcing their peace, happiness and sense of okayness to external solutions; and learn how to become the source of those things themselves.
I've walked every one of those paths.
The holding. The searching. The running on empty whilst everything on the outside looked fine.
I know what it is to function well and feel privately lost. To understand your patterns clearly and still be run by them. To try everything — the books, the frameworks, the coaches, the practices — and have nothing fully land.
And joy? I find it still. In more ways than one.
That's not a promise. That's just what became possible when I finally went upstream.
What I do now is the result of living this work first — not learning it, not studying it, not being trained in it. Living it.
The frameworks I use to help people didn't create what I have — they articulated and confirmed what was already there. I'm not teaching something I learned. I'm sharing something I live. And that's the difference.
A lot of great and important work exists. Therapy. Coaching. Mindfulness. Self-development. All of it has value. But it tends to work downstream — with the symptoms, patterns, and behaviours that appear at the surface.
My work sits upstream of all of it. Not as a replacement — as the foundation that finally lets them work properly.
- —Not a therapy practice
- —Not a coaching practice
- —Not another framework to learn and apply
- —Not something added on top of what you're already doing
It's a return to the person you already are. Before the conditioning. Before the patterns. Before the performance.
If this resonates — the next step is a conversation.
Thirty minutes. An honest look at what's been going on and whether this is work we should do together.
No pressure. A clear next step if the fit is right.
If you'd rather start quietly, the Upstream Assessment takes five minutes and gives you a clear read on where you're actually operating from.
